It is with sadness that the families of the late Clifton Ralph Piercey announce his passing on July 30, 2011 at The Carmelite Seniors Citizens Home, Grand Falls Windsor, aged 78 years. Clifton is predeceased by his wife Doreen; parents, Robert and Doris Piercey; brothers, Reg and Milton Piercey. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons, Gary (Sue Alders) of Kentville, NS; and Robert (Anita) of Burin Bay Arm, NL; daughters, Donna (Ford) Loveless of Grand Falls-Windsor, Lorna (Pat) Hurley of Grand Falls-Windsor, and Paula (Myron) Bailey of Grand Falls-Windsor; 7 grand-children, Paul, Patrick, Daryl, Dean, Nicole, Justin (Leanne) Hurley and Jennifer (Roger) Targett; 2 great-grandchildren, Rylan and Gavin; brother, George (Betty); sisters, May Nesbitt and Betty Collins. Public visitation took place Sunday, July 31, 2011 at 7-9 pm, Monday, August 1, 2011 at 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service took place Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 2 pm from The Salvation Army Citadel, Circular Road, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. The interment will follow at The Roman Catholic Cemetery, Union Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Grand Falls-Windsor.
