The family regrets the sudden passing of our loving mother and grandmother while visiting her new grandson in Calgary on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009.
Cherished mother of Ronda Arsenault (Stewart Wadden) of Cape Breton, N.S., Mandi Hanlon (David) of Calgary, Tom Leslie (fiance Natalie Garneau) of Cambridge and Tim Richard (fiance Julie Anthes) of Welland; devoted grandmother of Thomas (T.A.), Cassandra, Noelle and Xavier.
Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Marion Leslie; her brother, Ronald Leslie; soul mate, Merv Brownlee and her son-in-law, Albert Arsenault. Marilyn was a retiree of Mississauga Hydro, a member of the Skyway and St. Johns Groups of AA and a past proud member of Acapella Showcase, and active associate member of Harmony Incorporated. She will be missed by her canine companion ‘Zookie’.
Visitation at the Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, 2241 New Street (at Drury Lane), 905-637-5233 on Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 5 at 11 a.m. Private cremation to follow with interment at Streetsville Cemetery.
If desired, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Skyway or St. Johns groups of AA.
