The death occurred in Murray Harbour on Wednesday, August 10, 2011, of Captain Barrie Harris of Murray Harbour, age 65 years.
He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Florence (nee Richards), and two loving children, Michelle (Geoff) Harris-Genge and Gary (Trisha). Cherished grandfather of Berry and Gideon Genge and Wesley, Chloe, Caleb and Sitota Harris. Son of the late Captain William and Joyce (nee Stewart) Harris.
Besides his many aunts, uncles and large extended family, he leaves to mourn his many friends as well as associates who worked with him in his many years with the Northumberland Ferries Ltd.
He was an avid volunteer and community member. He was involved in a number of boards and agencies.
Resting at Ferguson's Montague Funeral Home from where the service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. Visitation: Sunday 6-9 p.m. only.
