LEVISON, DOUGLAS J. - It is with great sadness that the family of Doug Levison announce his death at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Wednesday, August 10th, 2011 at the age of 79. Doug leaves behind his wife, Mary Levison of Fredericton; daughters, Brenda Levison of Oshawa, ON, Joanne Levison (Calvin Hurley) of Fredericton and Kathy (Rob) Nevers of Fredericton; brothers, Donald (Leila) Levison of Geary and Charles K. Endicott Jr. of New Jersey; sisters, Jane E. (Clarence) Buckley of Oromocto, Geraldine (Murray) Gallant of Minto and Patsy (Paul) Vautour of Minto; grandchildren, Dan McCullough (Tara Gass), Dave McCullough (Lisa Paul-Elias), Jennifer (Andrew) Gibb, Melissa Martin (Dale Stuckless) and Brandon and Ryan Nevers; as well as several nieces and nephews. Doug was predeceased by his parents and three siblings. Doug was a member of the United Commercial Travellers, an avid sportsman and a man of great determination. He spent most of his career as a manager for several different grocery stores and worked as a salesman for Brooke Bond Foods Ltd.
Visitation will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home, 160 York St., on Sunday, August 14th, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be at the First Wesleyan Church on Monday, August 15th at 2 pm with Rev. Matthew Maxwell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
