Donald Patrick Kerr of Kamloops, BC passed away on August 12, 2011.
Donald is survived by his daughter Barbara-Jean and sons Duncan (Shari) and Donald, all of Kamloops, grandchildren, Laura, Megan and Michael, sisters Helen and Joanne, brothers James (Roberta) and David (Joan), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Margaret Kerr and son Michael Kerr.
Don was born in Kamloops December 26, 1934. He lived, worked and played in the Upper Heffley Region. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Don and his brothers were known for their family band, playing throughout the Thompson Valley. By trade Don was a Heavy Duty Mechanic.
Donald finally succumbed to MS after a long and valiant fight since his 1974 diagnosis.
A Celebration of Don's life will be held on Thursday, August 18th at 2 pm at The Gathering Place at Overlander Extended Care Facility with The Reverend Sandra Sugden.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff at Overlander Extended Care Facility.
