ELLISON, GEORGE W. - 1921 - 2011 - George W. Ellison, 89 of Royal Court, Riverview, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Friday, August 5, 2011. He was born in Apohaqui, N. B. on November 10, 1921, the son of the late Sylvester and Matilda (Jones) Ellison. He was a veteran of the Second World War serving in Europe. George was a former employee of N.B. Tel until retirement and a life member of the Bell/Aliant Pioneers. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He liked a good game of cards, reading, calling Bingo at Royal Court and visiting various members of his family. George will be sadly missed by his sister, Nina Baird, Halifax; sisters-in-law May Ellison, Riverview and Bessie Ellison, Tatamagouche, cousins and by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Lloyd, Heber and Victor and by sisters Bertha, Ruth and Dorothy.
As he wished cremation has taken place. Legion Service will take place at 10:45am. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel with interment to at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Family Flowers only.
