MITTON, RONALD “RON” J. - Ronald “Ron” J. Mitton, 69, of Steeves Mountain, with loving family members at his side, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre on Monday morning, August 22, 2011. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Margaret (Gauthier) Mitton of Riverview and the late Orey Mitton. Ron was self employed. He enjoyed gathering and listening to old country music, gardening, putting on his annual “August Lobster Boil”, socializing with his friends and spending quality time with his family. In addition to his mother, Ron will be sadly missed by his children, Barbara D’Entremont (Neil), Quispamsis, Marlene Crandall (Douglas), Sussex, Ronald Jr., Moncton, Robert “Bob” (Beverly), Pine Glen, Michael (Tracy), Second North River, Douglas (Tina), Cassidy Lake and Tony, ON; 15 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Garland (George), Painsec Junction, Shirley Conway (Eugene Mitton), Riverview, Debbie Ferguson (Wendell), Riverview, Pam LeBlanc (Art), Memramcook; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his wife Patricia “Pat” (McIntyre) Mitton (2004); daughter, Sylvia; brother, Dwane.
No visitation by personal request. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday August 25, 2011, 11:00 am, Rev.
