
Pauline Belyea
BELYEA, PAULINE ANNETTE - June 23, 1949 - August 21, 2011 - It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that the family of Pauline Belyea announces her passing in Chilliwack, B.C. on August 21, 2011 after a four month battle with Brain cancer. Born in Woodstock, N.B. on June 23, 1949, she was predeceased by her parents Harrison and Nina Monteith, and her brother Roger Monteith. Pauline is survived by her loving husband John, of 40 years, her daughter, Dr. Melita Belyea of London, Ontario, her son Rene Belyea, daughter-in-law Jamie, and grandsons Monty and Angus Belyea of Surrey, BC, as well sisters, Jeannine Helsely (Ralph), Bangor, ME, Marg Lockwood (David), Burton, NB, Irene Campbell (Bob), Barrie, ON, Connie Myers (Ross), Liverpool, NS, Geri Kilburn (Chris), Fredericton, NB, brothers, Victor Monteith (Carolann), Moncton, NB, Richard Monteith (Judy), Yoho Lake, NB, Allison Monteith (Beverly), Keswick, NB, Hugh Monteith (Brenda), Halifax, NS and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Retiring in February, 2011, Pauline's last 6 and a half years of employment was with the Dept of Social Development in Saint John as a social worker, a career she truly loved. Previous to her employment at the Dept. of Social Development, Pauline was secretary at Garden Creek School for 23 years. Pauline dearly loved her family and friends. Her children and grandchildren were everything to her, as were her dear friends. Pauline was a kind, gentle, considerate, and appreciative person. She was always concerned about everyone's well-being. All who knew her recognized her passion for life, her generous spirit, her love of socializing, and her desire for travel.
A memorial service celebrating Pauline's life will be held at Grace Memorial Baptist Church, Fredericton, NB on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 2PM. Rev. Doug Hapeman officiating. There will be a reception held immediately following in the church family centre. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Cascades Palliative Hospice, Chilliwack, B.C. or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
