Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family, at the Miller Centre on August 26, 2011, Loretta (Laura) Tobin, of Gaskiers, S.M.B., aged 96 years. Predeceased by husband Walter (1987), grandson A.J. Sullivan, great-grandson Walter Halleran, brothers Cecil and Joseph; sisters: Louise, Molly, Sally and Beatrice, daughters-in-law Angela Tobin and Bridget Tobin and son-in-law Adrian Sullivan. Leaving to mourn her devoted family; sons: Bob (Betty), Ferg (Uriel), Nick (Rosemary), Walter (Lorraine), Jerry (Gert), Leslie (Jessie) and Bruce (Noelle); daughters: Ruth (Willie Corcoran), Helen Sullivan, Joan and Genny (Pat) Kennedy, 35 grandchildren, including precious granddaughter Joanne, 56 great-grandchildren, brother Michael Critch (Mae), sisters-in-law Elizabeth Critch and Mary Critch and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including special friend Mary Williams. Resting at Gibbons’ Funeral Home, St. Mary’s, on Sunday, August 28 and Monday, August 29, from 12–9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 30, at Our Lady of Assumption Church, St. Mary’s, at a time to be announced.
