Passed away at his residence on September 01, 2011, following a lengthy illness, Shawn Michael Fitzgerald of Bell Island, age 36 years. Leaving to mourn his loving parents Francis and Roslyn Fitzgerald; sisters: Karen (Wim) Dejong, Cambridge, Ontario, Michelle (Corey) Boone, Kitchener, Ontario; brother Francis (Kristin), St. George, Ontario; grandmother Myrtle Nolan, Kelligrews, CBS; niece Megan Dejong; nephews: Tristan Dejong and Ryan Boone, as well as a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A sincere thank you to Dr. Walter Tucker and medical staff at Dr. Walter Templeman Health Care Centre, Bell Island, as well as the very special people who served as his personal care givers. Shawn was a very special person who touched many lives and our memories of him will be cherished forever. Resting at Pendergast’s Funeral Home, Bell Island. Visitation will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 5th, 2011 at 2 p.m. from St. Michael’s Parish. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Candlelighters Association of Nfld. & Labrador or any charity of your choice.
