BROWN, Dorothy Aveleigh - At the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital on Saturday August 27, 2011, Aveleigh Brown (nee Hicks) of Picton Manor, 2 days before her 85th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Edward Allan 'Ed' Brown. Loved mother of Joseph (Suzzan) of Napanee, Dan of Winnipeg and Ken (Katrina) of Picton. Loved grandmother of Gerald, Jennifer, Crystal, Arthur, Amy, Michael, Jeffery, Jesse, Jeffery, Michael and Kassandra, and great-grandmother of 11. Dear sister of the late Geneva Barratt, Weston, William and Bernice Olivastri. Mrs. Brown rested at the Hicks Funeral Home, 2 Centre Street, Picton (613-476-5571). Memorial Service was held in the Chapel on Wednesday August 31 at 2 pm. The Reverend Dr. Hal Wilson officiated. Interment of cremated remains to take place in Nova Scotia at a later date. Memorial donations to the Picton United Church or the PECM Hospital Auxiliary, (cheques only). The family received friends on Tuesday afternoon and evening.
