SMITH, Lawrence MacDonald “Larry”, 73- Stewiacke passed away peacefully at home on Sunday September 4, 2011 surrounded by his family after a short battle with illness. Born in Stewiacke, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Jessie(Elliott) Smith. For many years Larry was owner /operator of L.M. Smith Dozing. He will be sadly missed by his wife Melissa Audrety (Spencer); daughters Sheila (Don) Coffin, Milford;Mary Ann Smith and Bonnie Smith, both of Stewiacke; Margo (Harold) McMichael, Moncton, NB; son Ricky (Sonia) Smith, Stewiacke; grandchildren, Dwayne, Darren, Joseph, Michael, Michelle, Whitney, Justin, Thomas and Britney; great grandchildren Cali, Abbie Grace, Nathan and Wesley; sisters Myrtle Guild, Middle Musquodoboit; Shirley MacLellan, Milford; Marilyn Smith, Stewiacke; brothers Russell, Milford; Gary and Emmerson, both of Stewiacke; Paul, Truro; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Stanley, Wilfred, Havey and Michael. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 6-8pm Wednesday at the Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2 Shubenacadie. A graveside service will be held 11 am Thursday in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East.
