Frances Joan Bucci - of Kentville, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Canso, she was a daughter of the late Evan and Elizabeth (Babin) Hurst. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed dancing, knitting, bowling, traveling and tole painting. She is survived by her companion of 33 years, Leo Doucette; three daughters, Deborah Bucci, Eastern Passage; Carmie Brogan, Kentville; Margaret (Brian) VanBlarcom, Kentville; grandchildren, Gregory (Debbie), Ayngelina, Ryan, Logan, Brett, Jody, Tony, Peter, Greg (Debbie), Tony (Niki) and Peter (Barbara); great grandchildren, Abigayle, Addison, Grace, Jonah, Elijah, Joseph, Michael, Taylor, Samuel and Juliane; daughter-in-law, Joyce, Eastern Passage; sisters, Rita, Edith, Patricia; brother, Harold; special friend, Kaye Turner, Kentville; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; son, Michael; sisters, Ena, Sally and Margaret; brother, George; son-in-law, Jeremiah Brogan. Cremation has taken and there will be no visitation by family request. A memorial service followed by a reception was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 5, 2011 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Father Craig Christenson officiating. A private family burial took place in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. Family flowers only, by request.
