Estelle McMaster, age 98, of 105 Windsor St., passed away Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, after a brief illness.
Born in Poulamond, Richmond County, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Marie Louise (Benoit) LeBlanc.
She was a member of St. Anthony Daniel parish, Sydney. She was employed for a number of years at Bonnell’s, McCurdy’s in the drapery department and Crowell’s. Estelle enjoyed good health and socializing with relatives, friends and neighbours.
She is survived by her sister, Germaine LeBlanc, Sydney; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leo McMaster, brothers, Armand, Clem, Remi, Ray, Gus and sisters, Clotilde Pertus and Juliette O’Brien.
There will be no visitation for Mrs. McMaster. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Daniel Church. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
