
Léandre Cormier
CORMIER, LÉANDRE - 1923 - 2011 - Léandre Cormier, 87 of Saint-Antoine passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. He was married to Marie-Rose (Cormier) Cormier. Born in Saint-Damien on November 27, 1923, he was the son of the late Ambroise and the late Marie-Rose (LeBlanc) Cormier. He will be sadly missed by his wife Marie-Rose, his four children; Norma Cormier (René) of Renaud’s Mill, Marc (Gina) of Saint-Damien, Zénon (Thérèse) and Claude of Saint-Antoine, eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. He also leaves to mourn three brothers, Nap (Irma) of Moncton, Albéo (Rose-Marie) of Saint-Damien and Aldérice of McKees Mill, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one son Ronald (1947), five sisters; Mélandie, Évéline, Elmire, ALine, Alvina and two brothers, Roger and Donald.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine on Thursday September 8th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Friday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Antoine Church on Friday September 9th, 2011 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery. In Léandre’s memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation.
