The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, of "Nelson" George Edward Pye of Summerside, aged 64 years. Nelson was born on May 2, 1945, in Mount Pleasant, P.E.I., to his late parents Harris and Mable (nee Bridges) Pye. Beloved husband of Betty (nee Coughlin) Pye. Also lovingly remembered by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is survived by his brothers and sister: Hughie Pye of Inverness, Minor (Sandra) Campbell of O'Leary, Tom (Charlene) Campbell of Summerside, Loman Campbell of Summerside, Ed (Doreen) Campbell of Richmond, and Eleanor (Ernest) Bulger of O'Leary. By personal request there will be no visitation or funeral service held. Memorial donations in Nelson's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation may be made at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Road, Summerside.
