
Mable Chandler
CHANDLER, MABLE - The death of Mable Jean Chandler, loving wife of the late Herbert Chandler, occurred on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born 1922 in Moose Jaw, S.K., she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Effie (Dell) Nesbitt. Mable was a lifelong volunteer for many organizations including the Salvation Army, 50 Plus Club, Chicken Noodle Club, Stone Church Noon Hour Club and Christmas Kettle Club. She was extremely honoured to receive the South End Volunteer of the Year Award for 2010-2011. She is survived by her children, Iris Meehan, Malcolm Chandler, Beverly Chandler-Roy, Michael Chandler and Ian Chandler; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; special friends Al Kindred and Donnie Snook.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Bobby’s Hope House or the charity of one’s choice. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
