It is with great sadness that we the family of ‘Robbie’ announce his passing on Sept. 9, 2011, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with his family by side his side.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of Stafford and Hilda (Halnuck) MacDonald.
He was the proud father of his pride and joy his son, Coady.
He is survived by his brothers, Lee, Chris (Nadine), Trevor (Bonnie); his only sister, Lorrie (Blair), all of New Waterford; special brother, Paul and special aunt, Elaine; nieces, Katrina, Destiny and Nevaeh; nephews, Zackery and Dawson; many aunts and uncles.
He was a labourer by trade at one time working in Toronto and Halifax. He enjoyed many things like riding the four wheeler, painting and he liked to cook.
Visitation will be at McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, Thursday, Sept. 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Friday, Sept. 16 at 10 a.m in the Parish of Saint Leonard, with Fr. Victor Ozousuanya officiating. Burial in St. Agnes Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Army and Navy, Smith Street, New Waterford.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
