Our hearts cannot express how thankful we are for the care and compassion our family and friends gave us during this difficult time. To the Staff of Glace Bay Hospital especially ”4 North” thank you for the kindness and compassion you showed our Mother while she was in your care, we will never forget any of you. Dr, David Ley we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful care you gave her for many years. Thank you Anne and Lynn for the kindness you always showed her when she visited the office. Dr. Ellecker, Dr. Ritter and the Palliative Care Team we know you did everything possible to see that our Mother was comfortable and well taken care of. The flowers, phone calls, e-mails, visits to our homes, cards, monetary gifts, on-line condolences and the food sent to our homes was overwhelming. Thank you to Elaine O’Handley and Kathy O’Donnell for the beautiful luncheon you prepared for us. Thank you to the staff of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home for their compassion and professional support. Thank you Sandra Matheson for the beautiful music that filled the church during our Mother’s Celebration of Life. Thank you Rev. Judy Phillips for the beautiful church service you performed for our mother, it touched all of our hearts. Thank you Betty Ann Matheson for your love and support, we were honored to have you take part in our Mother’s church service. You spoke so eloquently on behalf of her and our family. You always had a special place in her heart. Thank you to the grandsons who were the honorary pallbearers Vincie, Danny, Andy, Jason, Bernie and David. Nana was so proud of you all. Thank you to the Italian Club for providing the hall for our Mother’s reception. Thank you Shelia MacDonald, Rose Burton and Wanda Windsor for organizing the beautiful luncheon that followed the church service. We are forever grateful for the love and support shown by everyone during this difficult time.
