Superintendent RCMP (ret.) Suddenly, on Saturday, September 10th, 2011, in his 78th year with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife Georgina (Gina) nee Kent, sister Susan (Bob Brozina) and his children: John Jr. (Pauline Leger), Mary (James Halls), Cheryl (Jeff Nesrallah), and Carol-Ann (Tony Macri). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Sophie, Kayla, Olivia, Noah, Jared, Kent, Amanda and his great-grandson, Alexis. Predeceased by his sister Darlene and infant granddaughters, Amelia and Jaydyn. A heartfelt thank you to the staff of the ICU and 2B wings of the Civic Campus of The Ottawa Hospital. Friends are invited to visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road (at Aviation Parkway), Ottawa on Thursday, September 15 from 7-9 p.m and Friday, September 16 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Parish, 1640 Heatherington Road on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment at the RCMP National Memorial Cemetery at Beechwood, The National Cemetery Of Canada.
