Michel D. "Mike" Breau

BREAU, MICHEL D. "MIKE" - 70, of Moncton passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Born in Moncton on January 11, 1941, he was the son of the late Francis and Yvonne (Boudreau) Breau. Mike was a self-employed entrepreneur in the furniture business under M.D. Mike Breau Agency Ltd. for over 40 years. Over the span of his life, Mike enjoyed many activities and hobbies such as sailing, curling, skiing, golf and travel, a love for music and playing cards. He had a zest for life and was a loyal and dedicated friend who was loved by many. One of his favourite pastimes was spending time with the "Nummies" and friends from the Elk's club. Mike will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 49 years, Pamela L. (Read) Breau, their cherished children: Marc of Banff, AB, Robert (Janic Bulger) of Kinnear Settlement, NB, Lisa Middleton (Mike) of Moncton and Danielle Bombala (Peter Sudbury) of Peterborough, ON; his nine grandchildren: Caitlin, Sean, Jesse, Adam, Nicholas, Renée, Lucie, William and Anna; his siblings: Simone Lawrence (Don) of South Carolina, US, Pauline Breau of Shediac, David (Angie), Peter (Anne McAuley) and Francis "Frankie", all of Moncton and John (Barb) of Shediac Cape, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Suzanne.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard's R.C. Church, 43 Botsford Street, Moncton, on Monday September 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
