HACHEY, JOHN - It is with great sadness that the family of John N. Hachey announce his sudden and unexpected death at the Saint John Regional Hospital on the morning of September 15, 2011. Born on March 4th, 1931 in Montreal, QC, he was the son of the late Elzéar and Alice Hachey. He is survived by his wife Catherine of Rothesay, NB, his sons Jean-Pierre (Melanie) of Ottawa, ON, and Andrew of Toronto, ON, and his grandsons Ben and Max of Ottawa, ON. He is also survived by his sisters Monique Mackin (Ian) of Moncton, NB, and Madeleine Chouinard (Marcel) of Sutton, QC, his brother-in-law James Fegan (Ritsuko) of Tokyo, Japan, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was also predeceased by his sister Gisèle Hachey and brother-in-law Joseph Fegan. For the care and kindness extended to John by the ambulance, emergency dept. and palliative care staff, the family is deeply grateful.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday September 20, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
