
Trevor Nason
NASON, TREVOR RICHARD - 1984 - 2011 - Trevor Richard Nason, 27, of Riverview passed away Saturday, September 17 due to a tragic motor vehicle accident. Trevor was a former teacher at Harrison Trimble High School and most recently was teaching at Caledonia Regional High School as well as night school at NBCC Moncton. He also had the privilege to be an instructor at Shad Valley, UNB Fredericton this summer. In March of this year he had won the prestigious Discovery Channel Iron Science Teacher Award, a national science teacher competition held in Calgary. He was a graduate of the Moncton Christian Academy and Crandall University where he received his Bachelor of Science and Education degrees. Trevor was known for his love of life, passion for his profession and the special bond that he made with his students. When not working on science projects he enjoyed spending time with his family and playing softball and paintball with his friends. He loved the freedom of driving his motorcycle with his cherished wife and friends. He never slept!! Trevor will forever be remembered by his loving wife Claudia Nason (Melanson), his parents, Garth and Lynn (Steeves) Nason of Lower Coverdale, sister, Sara Hammond (Lorne), his in-laws, Doug and Claudette Smith of Riverview and Paul Melanson (June) of Saint John, paternal grandparents, Glenna Murdock of Riverview and Budd Nason (Olga) of Maine, maternal grandparents, Pastor Richard and Lorna Steeves, brother and sister in-laws, Chantal Dacca (Diego), Cynthia Arsenault (Paul), Daniel and Jonathan Smith, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.
Private family visitation will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007), the funeral service will be held from the Moncton Wesleyan Church on Wednesday, September 21 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Willie Brownlee officiating. The public is invited to pay their respects at the church on Wednesday from 12 PM until the time of the service. Donations in Trevor’s memory can be made to the Friends of the Trojans, 80 Echo Drive, Moncton E1C 3H8 or the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
