STACKHOUSE, ROBERT "BOB" - Robert “Bob” Stackhouse, loving husband of Elizabeth (Nickerson) Stackhouse passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1944 in Saint John he was the son of the late Fred and Harriott (Mapplebeck) Stackhouse. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by son Kevin Stackhouse. Bob was self-employed with Fawcetts Lumber Mill for 12 years, and then worked for Jumbo Motor Express for 17 years, retiring in 1992. Bob was a former member of the Valley Car Cruisers, he enjoyed antique cars, collecting antiques, camping and spending time with his grandchildren. Besides his loving wife Elizabeth of 47 years, he is survived by his daughter Heather Lockhart (Donnie) of Midland, NB; sister Sandra McKim (Glenn) of Quispamsis; half-sister Margo Whittaker of Quispamsis; six grandchildren: Robert Lockhart, Ryan Lockhart, Rhonda Lockhart, Nathan Stackhouse, Michael Stackhouse and Melissa Weir; great grandson Tyson Stackhouse; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Thursday, September 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, September 23 from 2 t0 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Riverbank Cemetery, Norton.
