TITUS, SHIRLEY L. (MCAULEY)
Shirley L. (McAuley) Titus of Springfield, York Co., NB passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on September 22, 2011. Born in 1938 at Smiths Creek, NB, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Ruth (Phipps) McAuley. Shirley was a member of Hope Community Church, Stepping Stones Senior Centre and Marysville Seniors Bowling League. Shirley was employed at Kings Landing Historical Settlement for several seasons and owned and operated a small county store from her home for 10 years. She enjoyed the Sussex Balloon Festival and had the privilege of riding in a hot air balloon on two occasions. Sewing, reading, square dancing, clogging and travelling were some of Shirley's other interests. She truly loved and cherished her time spent with family and friends. Shirley is survived by two daughters, Gail Liston (Gary) and Cathy Yerxa (David), both of Springfield, NB; three grandsons, Tim Yerxa (Brenda), Hainesville, NB, Shawn Yerxa, Springfield, NB and Roger Liston (Amanda), Nackawic, NB; one granddaughter, Deidre Liston (Chad), Lincoln, NB; two beautiful great grandsons, Jayden Yerxa and Eithan Liston; one step-great granddaughter, Mallory Dunlevy; a sister, Rita Crabtree, Ottawa, ON; a special niece, Betty Constantine (Garfield), Sussex, NB; several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Ingraham in 1986; three sisters, Peggy Archibald, Mildred Dezil and Dorothy Howley; five brothers, Harold, Robert, Lawrence, Donald and Ernie McAuley.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Saturday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. George Clark officiating, assisted by Rev. Mark Williams. Interment at Upper Caverhill Cemetery.
