KENT, Peter Joseph – Passed away suddenly at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on December 6, 2008 after a short illness. Beloved husband of Cecilia (nee Basha) of Bell Island, loving father of Jo-Ann (Dwayne Moore) of Ottawa; Mark (Lisa Parsons) of Guelph; special daughter Erin; and Ryan (Amy Parsons) of Bell Island and five grandchildren: Braeden, Noah, Gabrielle, Tyler and Abby. Predeceased by his parents Bride and Clarence Kent Sr. of Bell Island and his brother Clarence Kent Jr. (Shirley). He will be fondly missed by his sisters Angela (Patrick Lahey) of Boston; Betty (Clem Dunphy) of Mount Pearl; Dorothy (Peter Byrne) of Victoria, BC; Agatha (Reg McLean) of Niagara Falls and brother Leo (Marg) of Niagara Falls. Resting at Pendergast’s Funeral Home, Bell Island on Monday, December 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, December 9, from noon to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Michael’s Church, Bell Island on Wednesday, December 10 at 11 a.m.
