1924-2011. It is with great sadness that the family of the late George N. (Tommy) Cater, P.Eng announce his passing at the CNRHC, in Grand Falls-Windsor on Sept. 23, 2011, at the age of 86. Tommy was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 12, Grand Falls Rotary Club, Lifetime member of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of NL. He retired from Abitibi-Price in 1988. Tommy is predeceased by his father George B., mother Katie and brother John. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Frances (nee Green), sons Neil (Sheila) of Portugal Cove, NL; Robert (Elizabeth) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; precious granddaughters Nicole and Stephanie; sisters Phyllis Little (Norman-deceased) of St. Catharines, ON; Clara George (David) of Toronto, ON; brothers Lloyd (Margaret) of St. Catharines, ON, Max (Mavis) of Fredericton, NB. Also leaving to mourn are a large circle of family and friends. Rev. Randy Lockyer will conduct the funeral service at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Sept. 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Interfaith Cemetery, Union Street.
