It is with both sadness and humble gratitude that we announce the passing, at the Kings County Memorial Hospital on Monday, September 26, 2011, of Phyllis Pearl (nee Cantelo) Hume of Montague, aged 81 years.
Deeply loved mother of Beryl (Dave) McLane and Sam (Joye) MacLeod. Dear grandmother to Matthew, Colin and Andrew MacLeod. Wife of Sheldon Hume and sister of Sterling (Mary) Cantelo and Elmer (Illah) Cantelo. Phyllis was predeceased by her first husband, Reagh MacLeod; by her parents John Cantelo and Pearl (nee Simons) Watts; her sisters, Alfreda Knox, Beatrice Chapman and Joan Boyce as well as her brothers James and Larry Cantelo.
There will be no visitation or funeral by personal request. A private committal service will be held at the Murray River Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Southern Kings and Queens Funeral Co-operative, Murray River.
