Gweneth Richardson, of Moose Jaw, passed away at Pioneers Lodge on Monday, September 26, 2011 at the age of 88. Gweneth was born at Glenavon, SK on December 26, 1922 and spent her younger years in the Glenavon, Stony Beach and Davey districts. She worked at the Sask. Wheat Pool in Regina before moving to Moose Jaw where she worked at Crown Lumber until her retirement. Gweneth was an active member of Zion United Church, always taking special pride in being in the choir, as well as being part of the social events at the Church. She was a member of the Prairie Pens, The Sons and Daughters of the Pioneers, and she enjoyed painting and crafting. She was very involved with the family happenings and loved her home. Gweneth is predeceased by her parents, five brothers: Joe, Ken, Morall, Clifford and Leonard; six sisters: Josie, Nellie, Dorothy, Viola, Thelma, and Pauline. She is survived by her sister-in-law Kay Richardson and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at Zion United Church on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Reverend Doug Hallman will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Memorials to Zion United Church would be appreciated. In living memory of Gweneth, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J.
