GOULD, GEORGE - August 7, 1943 - August 9, 2011- George A Gould passed away at the palliative care unit of Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Dalhousie, N.B. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Barthe) Gould, one son Ross (Laura) Gould of Oromocto N.B, daughters Stephanie (Dan) Allard and Melissa (Peter) Flanigan of Brampton Ont, stepsons Edison (Rattah) Frenette and Rick Frenette of Kitchner Ont, 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, one sister Shirley (Wilfred) Dunsmore of Moncton N.B, cousins in Moncton N.B. Predeceased by his parents Vincent and Margaret Gould, two brothers Ross (USA) and Clarence of Moncton N.B, three sisters Barbara Ann Jones, Joan Wright and Jean Bailey, all of Ont.
Funeral service was held at Living Hope Church of God, Dalhousie Junction N.B, Pastor Glen Stepen officiated. Hymns and songs by Living Hope Quartet, eulogy given by son Ross Gould. Legion members were present to honour their comrade-in-arms. Following the funeral service there was a military burial at St. John Bosco Cemetery. The U.S. Marines were present to honour their comrade with the bugle and the flag folding ceremony. The flag was presented to his wife Barbara Gould on behalf of the President of the United States of America and the U.S Marines for his services to their country. Mr. Gould had served two tours in Vietnam. After the burial a reception was held at Living Hope Church Of God.
