Passed peacefully away at Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre, St. John's on Sunday, September 25, 2011, Daphne V. (nee Slade) Garland of Salmon Cove, age 67 years. Predeceased by parents: Maxwell and Flora Slade. Left to mourn, one daughter: Shelley Garland, Corner Brook; two sons: Brad, Vancouver Island and Michael (Sherri), Mount Pearl; two grandchildren: Finnley and Chloe; one sister: Rowena Pynn, Salmon Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. T. Wayne Blackwood conducted the funeral service on Thursday, September 29 from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment took place in Riverside United Cemetery, Salmon Cove. Donations in her memory may be made to Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove.
