Azora Leona (Pauley) Mills, age 86, of Elgin Road, Hopewell, passed away September 28, 2011 at home.
Born in Botsford, NB, she was a daughter of the late William and Lilah (Allen) Pauley.
She lived in Hopewell most of her married life where she was an adherent of St. Columba United Church. She was a wonderful homemaker taking care of her family. Azora was a member of Hopewell, Branch No. 137 Royal Canadian Legion. Her life was focused around her children and her love of sewing and quilting.
She is survived by sons: William (Penny), Beaverbank; Kenneth, Kentville; Douglas (Pam), Greenwich; daughters: Barbara (Owen) Bonvie, Almonte, ON.; Leona (Don) Hall, Hopewell; Vera (Steven) Falt, Stellarton; son-in-law, Bill Geddes, Hopewell; brothers, Carl (Doris), Port Elgin, NB; Ray (Joan) Bayside, NB; sisters-in-law: Isabel, Timber River, Roberta, Fredericton, and Margaret Rose, Bayside, NB; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Clayton, daughter Shirley Geddes, sisters, Leota Wall and Hattie Nicholson, brothers: Ivan, Milford, Alton and Kenneth
There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday in St. Columba United Church, Hopewell, with Rev. Bonnie Fraser officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. in the church. Burial will be in MacLean Cemetery, Hopewell. A reception to follow in the church hall.
