HOVEY, APRIL DAWN (BABINEAU) CUNNINGHAM - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of April Dawn (Babineau) Cunningham Hovey which occurred on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at The Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1948 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late William F. and M. Pearl (Williams) Babineau. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister she loved to read, knit, crochet, play scrabble, cribbage and bowling. She is survived by her husband Malcolm Hovey; sons Kenny (Stephen Hill) Cunningham and Jon (Christina) Cunningham both of Saint John; daughter Mary-Kay Cunningham also of Saint John; grandson Nicholas; brothers Ronnie and Steve; sisters Barb, Valerie, Nanette and Bonnie. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brothers William and Donnie Babineau.
Following cremation, visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Saturday, October 1st and Sunday, October 2nd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 at Stella Maris Catholic Church on Monday, October 3rd at 12:05pm.
