McCarvill
Peacefully surrounded by his family at the Prince County Hospital on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011 of Joseph "Vernon" McCarvill of Kinkora. Vernon was born on Dec. 26, 1915 to the late Patrick and Anastasia (Callaghan) McCarvill of Shamrock. Beloved husband of Bernice (nee Murphy) and loving father of Elizabeth (Fulton) Hamill, Dr. Paul (Mary), Patrick, Kathy (Mauro) Corazza, Dr. Mike (Mary), Shawn (Joanne), Reg (Cheryl) and Lisa (Garth) Campbell. Also lovingly remembered by 31 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters Mary (Aiden) Greenan, Kathleen (William) Griffin, Eileen (Jack) Brand, Theresa (James) MacGuigan, Gerald, Wilfred (Alice), Everett and Marguerite Woolam. Vernon is also survived by his sister-in-law Eugenia McCarvill and brother-in-law Bud Woolam. Resting at the Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora for visitation on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Malachy's Church, Kinkora on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011 at 10 a.m. with interment in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation, the Summerside Home Care and Support Equipment Fund or the CNIB would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
