ZINCK, Myron Wilbert “Sonny” - 74, of Gaspereau, Kings County, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in East Dover, Halifax County, he was a son of the late Thomas and Muriel (Scott) Zinck. He had been employed with the Kings County District School Board and also as Mechanical Supervisor with Perry Rand Limited. After retirement, he turned his many gifts and talents to carpentry, farming and grand-parenting. His generous spirit and unique humour will be remembered by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, the former Nola Fullarton; a daughter, Tanya (Jim) Cahoon, Pereau; two sons, Christopher (Mona) Zinck, Lawrencetown, Halifax County; Paul, Gaspereau; a brother, Gerald “Gerry” (Dianne) Zinck, Centreville; four grandchildren, Tyler, Jamie, Izzack and Lacey. Sonny will also be dearly missed by Billy Keddy and Leo and Vesta Zinck as well as a large extended family and many friends. Visitation was held from 6-8:30 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011, Reverend Martin Zwicker officiating. A private family burial took place in the Gaspereau Cemetery. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
