
Irene Brewster
BREWSTER, IRENE HOPE - 1920-2011 - Irene Hope Brewster, 90, of Riverside-Albert passed away peacefully on October 4th, 2011 at the Moncton Hospital. Irene was born in Germantown, Albert County, NB on December 5, 1920 the daughter of the late Richard and Alfretta (Kennie) Butland. She took great pride in raising her family and was a very beloved mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Wesley United Church and was always very involved in her community. Irene was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Winston Churchill Chapter # 19 for over 50 years and a member of the Friendship Senior Citizens Club. Also when she was able she always attended every community supper and enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was known for her kindness and for her gentle ways. Irene was truly a very special lady who will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her sons, Richard Brewster of Riverside-Albert and Philip Brewster of Moncton; her precious grandchildren, Kyle Brewster (Tina) of Riverside-Albert and Craig Brewster (Joanne) of Albert Mines; sister, Helen Wheeler of Berry, Ontario and sister-in-law, Lena Butland of Riverside-Albert. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Howard Brewster, her five brothers, Stanley, James, Richard Jr., Parker and Ronald, and by her sisters, Stella Kennie, Nora Cameron, Doris Milton Chase, Cora Milton and Burdenia Tingley..
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday evening from 7 to 9pm. The Eastern Star will be having their Memorial service on Thursday at 6:45pm at the funeral home, all are welcome. The funeral service will be at the Albert County Funeral Home on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 1:00pm with Rev Carol Smith officiating. Interment will be held in the Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton. Donations to the Wesley United Church or to the Riverside-Albert Volunteer Fire Department would be greatly appreciated by the family.
