MESSER, ALBERT “BERT” HAROLD - Albert H. Messer of Tweedside, York Co., NB, passed away October 6, 2011 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Tweedside, NB in 1938, he was a son of the late Chester and Joyce (Hood) Messer. Bert is survived by his wife, Shirley (Curtis) Messer; his children, Chris Messer (Teresa), Curtis Messer, both of Tweedside, NB, Creena Wood (Medley), Lakeville Corner, NB and Aaron Messer (Tracey), York Mills, NB; his grandchildren, John Messer, Alyssa Messer, Morgan Wood, Mackenzie Messer, Gabriel Messer and Haley Messer; a sister, Doreen Warren (Allison), Tweedside, NB; three aunts, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A private funeral service will be held later with Rev. George Clark officiating. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Bert, the family has suggested the Canadian Diabetes Association, Kidney Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
