The death occurred suddenly at his late residence on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, of Gerald Lorne McMurrer of Nine Mile Creek in his 58th year. Beloved husband of Leona (nee Dougan), and loving father of David (Julie), Steven, and Andrew (Janelle). Gerald will also be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his mother Velda (Muttart) (the late Lorne) McMurrer of Albany, his brothers and sisters, Gary (Lori), Diane (Roger) Thompson, Della (Arnold) Van Vliet, Barry (Paula), Dale (Joni), Sheldon, Elaine (Roger) DesRoches, Darryl, Lorna Dawson, and Dean (Corina), brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe (Leona), Eileen Dougan (Benny MacDonald), Betty Dougan, Verna (Ian) McInnis, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his infant brother, David McMurrer, brothers-in-law, Dale Dawson, Scott Dawson and Gordon Dougan. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home. No public visitation by personal request. Funeral Thursday with a public funeral mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Cornwall at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Martin of Tours & St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.
