June 29, 1919 - October 18, 2009. Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, October 18, 2009, Agnes Chislett of Islington, aged 90 years. Predeceased by her parents, John and Catherine Welsh, husband John, son Clifford, grandchildren: Adam and Catherine Critch, son-in-law Winston Harnum, sisters: Gladys Chislett, Lydia Carpenter and Violet Bryant, brothers: Joseph and Walter Welsh. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her seven children: Blanche Harnum, Green’s Harbour, Lorraine Chislett (Max), Islington, Shirley Butt (Graham), Carbonear, Doreen Critch (Greg), Cavendish, Guy (Jean), Islington, Dennis (Ethel) and Douglas (Diane), Ontario. Also lovingly remembered by 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one brother Robert Welsh (Olive), Islington; a large number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Resting at St. Matthew’s Church Hall, Islington, Tuesday, October 20, 7 p.m. until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held from St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Heart’s Delight on Thursday, October 22nd at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Matthew’s Anglican Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy flowers gratefully declined, donations in her memory may be made to St. Matthew’s Church Memorial Fund or the Breast Cancer Foundation.
