It is with great sadness that the family of the late Violet Pittman announce her passing on Wednesday, October 12th, 2011 at the Bonne Bay Hospital in her 66th year. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Walter; sons: Glenn (Sharon) and Lew (Alice); grandchildren: Nick Pittman, Ashley Hayward, Donnie Pittman, Robyn Pittman, Michael Hayward, Regham Pittman; great-grandchild Emily; siblings: Henry (Jean), Dave (Verna), Madeline (Calvin), Doreen Sparkes (Winston), Mona Nicholle (Ralph), Norman (Louise), Jean (Ralph), Howard and Lee (Tracy). Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from the United Church in Rocky Harbour today, Thursday and Friday where also funeral service will take place on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Noseworthy officiating.
