Passed away peacefully on Oct. 12th, 2011 in the presence of his family, after a lengthy illness, Tim Kavanagh, age 55 years. Predeceased by his father Thomas (Bud) Kavanagh. Lovingly remembered by his wife Bonnie of 25 years; daughters Julia and Emily and son Sean. Also left with fond memories his mother Margaret (Peg) Kavanagh; sister Mary; brothers: Michael (Colleen) and Bernard; sisters-in-law: Karen Murphy, Jodi Murphy and Lori Case (Greg); brothers-in-law: John Murphy (Yvonne) and Bill Murphy (Kathie); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Tim served as a proud Rotarian for the past 10 years with the Rotary Club of St. John’s Northwest and was a recent recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award. He was an avid tennis player who was also President of both Riverdale and Greenbelt Tennis Clubs. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home 329 Freshwater Rd with visitation on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass to be celebrated at St. Teresa’s Parish on Saturday, October 15th, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
