R. Malcolm MacLeod

MacLeod, R. Malcolm – Willow Lodge Home for Special Care, Tatamagouche, passed away October 13, 2011 in the Lodge at the age of 90. Born in Waldegrave, Colchester County, he was the only son of the late John and Agnes (Malcolm) MacLeod. Except for his time in the Air Force during the Second World War, he lived on the family farm in Waldegrave and was a farmer, fisherman and carpenter. Malcolm is survived by his son, David (Shirley), Truro; granddaughters, Alana (Scott Reid), Truro and Patricia MacPherson (Jay), Halifax; sister, Catherine Reid, Moncton; sister-in-law, Lillian Sutherland (Don), Truro; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Edna Fraser; two sisters, Ellen Adamson and Louise MacKenzie. Cremation had taken place. No visitation by request. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2011 in Lockerby Memorial Cemetery, Tatamagouche with reception to follow in the Tatamagouche Legion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Willow Lodge or Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche (657-3288). The family would like to express their thanks for the excellent care and compassion shown to Malcolm while living at Willow Lodge.
