Irene Margaret Jurgens (nee Rieder)
July 20, 1925 – October 15, 2011

Irene was born in Mancota, SK on July 20, 1925. She was raised in Windthorst, SK. Irene met Herman Jurgens in Regina and the two were married in 1949. They had three children Hilda, Yvonne, and Iran Jurgens. Irene and Herman moved to Flin Flon, MB in 1952 until 1972 when they moved to Humboldt. Irene moved to Prince Albert after Herman’s passing in 1986. She enjoyed her time at the St. Louis Care Home and the Herb Bassett Home. Irene is survived by her daughter Hilda Kostiuk & her children Jennifer (Chris) Snow & their children Connor, McKenzie and Chris Kostiuk; her daughter Yvonne (Bob) Harvie & their child Scott (Melanie) Harvie & their daughter Grace and her son Iran (Janet) Jurgens & their children Dion Jurgens (Kaylee) & Kyle Jurgens. She was predeceased by her husband Herman Jurgens; her three brothers Bernard, Robert and Matt and her sister Adelaide. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with celebrant Val Bodnaryk.
