Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Monday, October 17th, 2011, James Hanlon, age 83. Predeceased by his daughter Mary, son John, parents Peter and Elizabeth, brothers Mike, Tom, Myles, Herb, Peter, sisters Bride, Veronica (Rhone), Agnes, son-in-law David McLeod. Left to mourn with loving memories are his wife Genevieve, sons Leo (Marg) of Kingston, ON; Gordon (Bernadette) of Oshawa, ON; Roger (Paula) of Lindsay, ON; Steve of Kingston, ON; Tim (Michelle) of Whitby, ON; Fonce (Tammy) of Glenwood, daughters Loretta (Jim) Dwyer of Gander, Winnie (Alvin) Coates of Glenwood, Veronica McLeod of Avonmore, ON; Ann (Wayne) Snow of Oshawa, ON; Madeline (David) McWilliams of Rockland, ON; Barbara (Seymore) Jacobs of Deline, NWT; Brenda of Glenwood, 25 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, a large number of nieces, nephews, many family and friends. Dad was a great man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He had a heart of gold and everyone who knew him seen this in him. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Rested at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Glenwood. Funeral service, Friday, October 21st at 2:00 P.M. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
