Blanche Katherine Kozroski was born September 14, 1925 at Gull Lake, SK. She passed away on September 20, 2011 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current,SK. Blanche was one of eleven children of Tobbie and Clara Morin. She dearly loved her six brothers and four sisters. She would tell her children and grandchildren stories of being raised in a very small house with such a large family. Summer time was highlighted by picnics, with freezers of real homemade ice cream. Wintertime meant sleigh riding, and best of all the Christmas concerts. On July 3,1944 Blanche married Bill Kozroski and they farmed the Kozroski home place in Grassy Hill district. They raised five children and their family grew to include ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Surviving are: Dennis and Gayle Kozroski, Ernie and Carol Sommer, John and Linda Ward, Lynn and Kerry-Lea Packard; a brother Don Morin of Hanna AB and a sister Mabel Moller of Victoria, B.C. She was predeceased by her parents Tobbie and Calra Morin and by one daughter Patrica Kozroski. Bill and Blanche celebrated their 50th and 60th anniversaries at the Morin Family Reunions. Blanche was a good gardener, loved her home and neighbors and had lots of family visits. She was a member of Grassy Hill Ladies Club, The Garden Head Club, Knox United Church and Rebeca's Lodge. On July 3, 2011 Blanche and Bill celebrated their 66th anniversary. Blanche resided at the Autumn House from 2008 until her passing. A memorial service was held Tuesday October 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Knox United Church with Reverend Bev Diduck Officiating. Special music was provided by Millie Spagrud, Nora Rudoloph and King Gin. The ushers were Russell Schreiner and Ken Reed. The interment service was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Swift Current, SK. Memorial Donations in her memory to the Autumn House Independent Living Facility or to the Gull Lake Ambulance Fund would be appreciated by the family.
