Betty Little
LITTLE, BETTY E. - The passing of Betty Estelle Little of Fredericton, N.B., widow of the late Lloyd Edward Johnston Little, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Sunday, October 23, 2011. She was 88. Born in St. Stephen, N.B., on August 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late W. Ralph and R. Christine (Smith) McNeill. Betty was a graduate of St. Stephen High School and also graduated with a Business Degree from Mt. Allison University and for many years worked as a Secretary in Fredericton, St. Stephen and Toronto. She attended St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Fredericton. Betty is survived by a son Stephen Little and his wife Tracy MacCharles and two grandchildren, Genevieve and Travis Little all of Pickering, Ontario; two nieces, Mary Jane Kilpatrick of Yarmouth, N.S., Mary Laura Brooks of Phoenix, Arizona and a sister-in-law Laura Giddens of St. Stephen, N.B. Betty was predeceased by her husband of over 65 years, Lloyd Little as well as her parents.
The family will receive condolences at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. A memorial service will be held from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 512 Charlotte St. on Thursday, October 27 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Doug Blaikie officiating. Interment in the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery, St. Stephen, N.B. Memorials to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
