Carr, Donald Clarence “Buck” — 67, of Ellershouse, Hants County, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, surrounded my his family. Born on January 7, 1944, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of Evelyn Marie (Hebb) Carr, Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, and the late John Clarence Carr. Surviving besides his mother, Evelyn Marie (Hebb) Carr, is his wife of 45 years, Bernice Mary (Brown); daughter, Dawna (Rick) Martiniuk, Revelstoke, British Columbia; sons, D. Richard Carr, Grand Prairie, Alberta; Rod D. Carr, Grand Prairie, Alberta; grandchildren, Kristen, Ellershouse; Darrin, Halifax; Venelle, Stanley; Amy and Aaron, Revelstoke, British Columbia; Shayleigh and Kendra, Windsor; great grandchildren, Dawson, Ellershouse; Logan, Stanley; brothers, Ken (Judy) Carr, Newport Station; David “Jack” (Ruthie) Carr, Windsor Forks; Robert (Linda) Carr, Falmouth; Roddie (Lyndell) Carr, Falmouth; sisters, Shirley (Bob) Benedict, Mount Denson; Carol (Billy) Stevens, Kingsport; Patricia Hamilton, Chatham, Ontario; Brenda (Blair) Pemberton, Berwick; many nieces and nephews. Besides his father, John Clarence Carr; he was predeceased by a sister, Aileen Merrett, and also by a sister, Mary in infancy; brothers-in-law, Gerald Merrett and John Brown. Cremation has taken place under the care of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor, and there was no visitation by request. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011, in St. Thomas Anglican Church, Three Mile Plains. The Rev. Tom Henderson officiated, followed by a reception in the church annex. Interment will be held in Oakhill Cemetery, Ellershouse, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Buck, were requested to be made to the P.C. Children’s Charity Fund, c/o The Atlantic Super Store, Windsor; The Dialysis Machine, c/o Hants Community Hospital Foundation; or to a charity of one’s choice.
