Judy Topuschak passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the Wascana Grace Hospice in Regina at the age of 69 years. She was surrounded by loving family and friends throughout her journey and in her final days. Judy is survived by her three loving children and their families Rick and Marianne (Megan, Cody), Deborah and Chris (Leah, Nathan, James) and Ashley and Cameron (Micoh); her sister and best friend Diane Zimmer; nephew Brian and Mary and niece Tania and Scott (Molly, Sophie); and her brother Charlie and Gloria (Rhonda, Jennifer). She is also survived by her former husband and friend Cornelius Topuschak; his partner and Judy’s close friend Faith Case; the extended Topuschak family; and so many friends. Judy was predeceased by her mother and father Sarah and Carl Dietrich. Judy was born in Barrie, Ontario and moved to Saskatchewan at a young age where she lived in both Regina and Moose Jaw. She worked most of her life for the family business and Social Services where she met colleagues to share many laughs with and who became close friends. Judy was a beautiful woman with a generous heart. She was very proud of her family and loved spending time sharing stories over a meal and cuddling with her grandchildren. She was an insatiable reader and learner who had an open mind and loved to learn about such a diversity of things (gardening, religion, spirituality, music, decorating, cooking and more). She always lent an open ear to many a friend over a cup of coffee and graced us all with her smile to light up a room. Judy and her family are grateful for the excellent care she received at the Allen Blair Cancer Centre, Palliative Care, and the Wascana Grace Hospice. A CELEBRATION OF JUDY’S LIFE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with interment and refreshments to follow.
