Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Hospital on October 24, 2011, Stella Devereaux (nee Power) of Trepassey and St. John’s, age 87. Predeceased by husband Richard; parents Edward & Josephine Power, step-mother Teresa Power, her brothers: Joseph, Gordon, Ted and Charlie: her sisters: Genevieve, and Marina; her sisters-in-law: Isabel and Ruth Power, Laura Devereaux, Josephine Turpin, Angela Hewitt, Anne Tobin, and Lena Curtis; her brothers-in-law: George Follett, Albert Kennedy, George Devereaux and John Devereaux. Leaving to mourn her daughter Annette Leonard (Bernie); grandchildren: Paul (Natalie), Sharon (Conrad), Jenny (Keith), and great-granddaughter Leah; her sisters: Dorothy Jackman (Clem), Sister Marion Power and Kathleen Kennedy; sisters-in-law: Rita and Lydia Power; as well as many nieces, nephews & friends. Resting at Fahey’s Funeral Home at Trepassey. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 7:00 – 9:00 and Thursday 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. and from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Fr. Peter Golden, will be celebrated on Friday, October 28th at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow in Holy Redeemer Parish, Trepassey.
