McFEE, YVONNE - After a lengthy illness, Yvonne Louise McFee (nee Brewer) died peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on October 28, 2011 at the age of 84. Born on March 13, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Florence (McKiel) Brewer and Elton Brewer and beloved wife of the late Harold L. (Hymie) McFee. She was predeceased by her sister Joyce (Willis F. Roberts). She is survived by her sons Gordon (Carol Leger) of Ottawa, John (Krista Munroe) of Medicine Hat and Robert of Fredericton. She leaves behind her grandchildren Pat, Sean, and Katy (Jeremy Pelletier) in Ottawa, Ben in Calgary and Abby and Simone in Victoria, as well as her great-grandson Liam in Ottawa. Among many other things, Yvonne was a member of the Area Officers' Mess, the Garrison Club, the Fredericton Golf Club and the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire (IODE). She loved to read, kept abreast of the latest news until the end, loved her cats and adored Tony Bennet's "I left my heart in San Francisco".
There will be no visitation at the request of the family. A memorial service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel at a later date. Yvonne will be interred with Hymie in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery, Woodstock Road.
